Emerged / Developed | BFA Thesis Exhibition 2016
June 3 - 22, 2016 | Littman + White Galleries
Reception: Thursday June 9, 2016 | 4 - 7pm
The School of Art Design at Portland State University presents EMERGING/DEVELOPED, the 2016 BFA Thesis Exhibition featuring our fourteen graduating students. Their diverse practices incorporate painting, sculpture, drawing, video, installation, photography, print and digital media, representing the full breadth of the program. EMERGING/DEVELOPED is exhibited across PSU’s campus art galleries and is open to the public from Friday, June 3 through Friday, June 10. There will be a public reception at all venues on Thursday, June 9 from 4-7pm.
The BFA Program in Art Practices at Portland State University is designed to provide a select group of students with one year of specialized studies before graduation. The program is intended to complement the Art Practices BA/BS tracks and to further develop, across disciplines, an open dialog about contemporary art, its practices and its cultural implications. Upon admission, the students commit to an intensive one-year residency in which they conduct research and produce cohesive body of work, culminating in a public exhibition at the end of the program.
Exhibiting Artists: Motz Akzinor, Jordan Behr, Sophia Foster, Anne Fudyma, Philip King, and Albert Christian Profeta.
