Littman Gallery at Portland State University presents Golden Ones, a mixed-media group exhibition curated by Mui Easland.

GOLDEN ONES is an act of remembrance. In 2018 alone, 998 people were shot and killed by police. Of that number, 229 of those people were identified as black. A quarter of fatal police shootings in 2018 were black people, and over half these fatal shootings were of people of color.

This exhibition features artists of color, who pay tribute to these other ‘Golden Ones’ whose lives were cut short. The pieces in this show are reflective of these artists’ lives; they are about celebrating and exploring art and culture.
